FAQ
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Are all your opals solid Australian opal?
Yes. Unless a listing explicitly says doublet or triplet, every opal we sell is solid, natural Australian opal, cut in our own workshop. The type and origin are recorded on the certificate that comes with your piece.
How do I clean my opal jewellery?
Wash in warm water with a drop of mild soap and a soft brush. Never use an ultrasonic or steam cleaner, and keep your piece away from bleach, chlorinated pools and harsh household cleaners.
Our full buying and cleaning guide covers what to do and what to avoid, and how to store your opal safely.
Do you offer a cleaning service?
Yes. Send any piece of ours back to the workshop once a year and we will check the settings, repolish and re-rhodium where needed. The check and clean is complimentary and you pay postage one way.
You can book it from our buying and cleaning guide, or just contact us.
Can I wear my opal every day?
Yes, opal likes being worn. Take it off for gardening, the gym and heavy work, and avoid leaving it in direct sun or extreme dry heat for long periods. There is more on looking after your stone in our buying and cleaning guide.
How do I know my ring size?
You can get sized at a local jeweller, or use our printable ring sizing guide. Contact us before you order and we will help you confirm your size.
Can you resize a ring after I've bought it?
Yes, most of our rings can be resized. Please contact us to confirm for your specific piece.
