Warranty Policy

At Dean G Premium Cut Opals, we take great pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our jewellery. We want you to purchase with confidence and enjoy your special piece for many years to come.

Our Jewellery Warranty

Our jewellery is covered by a life time warranty from the date of purchase against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship.

If you believe your jewellery has developed a manufacturing fault, please contact us with your proof of purchase and photographs of the item. We will assess the piece and, where the issue is confirmed to be a manufacturing defect, arrange an appropriate repair, replacement or other remedy.

What Is Not Covered

Our warranty does not cover damage resulting from normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, impact, improper storage or care, or exposure to chemicals, excessive heat or other conditions that may damage jewellery or gemstones.

This includes normal scratching or wear to precious metals, chains, clasps and settings; jewellery that has been bent, knocked, crushed or otherwise damaged; and damage caused by work performed by another jeweller or third party without our prior approval.

Loss of a gemstone resulting from damage, impact or excessive wear to claws or settings is not considered a manufacturing defect.

Australian Opals & Natural Gemstones

Australian opals and natural gemstones are unique products of nature. Variations in colour, pattern, inclusions and other natural characteristics are part of their individuality and beauty and are not considered faults or defects.

Opals require appropriate care and should be protected from hard impacts, extreme temperature changes and harsh chemicals.

Repairs Outside the Warranty

We understand that jewellery is made to be worn and accidents can happen. If your piece requires attention that is not covered under warranty, please contact us. Where possible, we will be happy to assess the jewellery and discuss repair options and any associated costs with you before work is undertaken.

Australian Consumer Law

Our warranty is provided in addition to any rights and remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in this warranty is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded.
